Gilgamesh

The great King of Uruk and hero of the world's oldest surviving story, Gilgamesh ruled in ancient Mesopotamia sometime around 2700 BC. After the death of his beloved companion, Enkidu, Gilgamesh came to fear death, and embarked on an epic journey to find Utnapishtim, whom he called 'The Faraway', in a quest to discover the secret to eternal life.
