A new world to discover

While we were used to comics from Soleil and Delcourt editions in Europe, we are delighted to read an Australian author who is embarking on something that does not seem to be the norm in bookstores. A beautiful story, superb illustrations, a beautiful work that we keep preciously!

The packing materials are top notch. The Waking Dream packing was great to. But the new packing material is top notch! Waking Dream is a great book! If you into starange stories this is for you! The art is spectacular and Painted Death is no exception. The art is next level! And the story is quite good. I can't recommend these books high enough. Michael Bancroft has done it again! This book is a mind bending treat for all you mind bending story lovers that appreciate great art and story. Michael Bancroft hit this one out of the park. Plus I live in Florida and both book arrived in mint condition! Bancroft knows what how to write and draw books plus ship them with no damage! Hail Michael and Mélanie Bancroft for getting them delivered on time, fast , and undamaged! HAIL! #COMICSGATE!

Intriguing story, very good quality

I received the hardcover version of this book in flawless condition. The print looks great, the art-style and quality of the drawings is consistently good and does not give any hint of a rush. The physical feel of it is outstanding, giving you clearly the impression that you have something more than just a "comic book" in your hands.
The story so far is intriguing and offers at this points way more mysteries and questions than answers. This is only the second book, so we have only scratched the surface of the story that Michael Bancroft wants to tell here. I hope he is going to resolve and answer all these mysteries and questions eventually, though. I would be disappointed if it ends up as a kind of series of never explained plot twists and strange events that pile up and lead to a finale that leaves you unsatisfied as the TV series "Lost" did for example.
